Multiple locations

Run several locations as one business: shared customers, one booking page, per-location operations.

CarSignal treats a multi-location business as one brand with several shops: your customers are shared across locations, while calendars, cars, money, and phone numbers stay per location. Mobile fleets work the same way: each van or region can be its own location.

Add a location

Open the shop switcher at the top left and choose Add location. Three short screens, and nothing is created until the last button:

  1. Location details. The new location's name, phone, and address. Email is optional.
  2. Setup. Pick which existing location to start from (or start without copying). You see the booking hours, the service menu, and the pricing the new location will begin with, and you can change any of them here: trim the menu, set different hours, a different labor rate or tax. Edits apply to the new location only; the one you copy from is never touched. Canned jobs and inspection templates come over as they are.
  3. Review. One readable summary, including what the new location does to your bill (joins the subscription as one more seat, shares the pilot, or sets up its own billing later). Each section has an Edit button that takes you back to that spot and then straight back to the review. Create location does exactly that.

Card payments, the texting number, parts suppliers, and QuickBooks are never copied: each location connects its own in Settings after it is created, and the review says so rather than marking them ready.

Signing up with several locations at once? Pick Multiple locations during setup and name your business; after your first location is ready, the finish screen adds the rest, about a minute each.

Billing follows your business: on a monthly subscription, each added location is one more seat on the same subscription (one charge, quantity per location, prorated when you add mid-cycle). You confirm that seat on the review step before Create; without that confirmation no location is created. On a pilot, added locations share the pilot at no charge. A location that cannot join an existing plan opens only after it sets up its own billing. Manage it all in All locations · Billing.

Shared customers

A customer who has been to any of your locations is recognized at all of them. When they book, call, or check in at a location that hasn't seen them before, CarSignal matches them from your other locations and brings their contact info in. The client card shows which location they came from, and an Other locations section shows their visits, vehicles, and spend at your other shops.

Texting consent does not carry between locations: each location's number gathers its own consent, as carrier rules require.

The All locations view

Your HQ, and a different room: pick All locations from the shop switcher and the sidebar goes away. One bar across the top carries the business name, the tabs, Open a location (jump into any store) and Add location. The tabs:

  • Overview. The dashboard for the whole business: every location as a card (collected, in shop, booked, waiting), the comparison table, Collected across all stores with the previous period, tiles, what needs a hand everywhere, the team, the last 24 hours. Same ranges and filters as a store's own dashboard.
  • Live. One live feed across all stores: who is on the clock, arrivals, payments, approvals, texts, each row tagged with its location.
  • Money. Collected, refunded, net, average RO, and outstanding at every location side by side for the month, last month, or the year. Books stay separate; open a location for its full P&L.
  • Team. Locations down the left (search them, each with how many people it has, All locations at the top), people on the right. Pick a location to see its people as plain rows with Remove and Add person, which places someone already on the team or invites someone new to that location. Pick All locations to see everyone once with how many locations they are at; open that count to tick or untick locations. Moving a tech between stores is two clicks.
  • Services. The same two panes, with how many services each location offers. Pick a location to see the business catalog for that store: offered rows show duration and price with Edit and Remove, the rest read Not offered with Add; its mobile-service switch and radius sit at the top (a mobile location shows no address on its booking page). Pick All locations for the catalog with "At N of M" per row; open a row to see each location's price, add it where it is missing, or jump to that location. Add service adds to the location you are looking at, or everywhere from All locations. Prices and durations stay per location.
  • Templates. Copy canned jobs and inspections between locations, or create one everywhere at once. Each location keeps its own copy, so local edits stay local.
  • Billing. One bill for the business: the plan, how many locations it covers, the card on file, and invoices. Individual locations point here instead of managing their own subscription.

You only see and manage locations you belong to, and changes need admin rights at the location they touch.

One booking page, one team

  • Your brand gets its own booking link that lists every location, and customers pick where to go. Each location keeps its own link too.
  • Invite a staff member to every location at once with the Invite to all locations option in Settings, Team.

What stays per location

Money (CarSignal Payments or Stripe, invoices, QuickBooks), texting numbers, calendars and capacity, labor rates and taxes, and parts supplier accounts are always per location. Cross-location reporting reads them side by side; it never merges books.
